Jordin Brianna Sparks was born on December 22, 1989, in Phoenix, Arizona, and was raised in Ridgewood, New Jersey. Her father, Phillippi Sparks, is known for being a former professional football player for the New York Giants. Jordin grew up with her younger brother Phillippi “PJ” Sparks Jr., who is pursuing a career in the field of football at the University of North Dakota. Jordin attended Northwest Community Christian School in Phoenix until the 8th grade and Sandra Day O’Connor High School for her freshman year in 2006. Jordin’s music career started when she began participating in various talent competitions in her early life.
